This is our second visit to the gite. It's perfect for a stopover the night before catching the train back to the UK. It has everything you require. Comfy beds, beautiful decor and this time we were able to lounge outside in the sunshine. Perfect recovery after a long drive north.

This is our third visit. We love the place. Perfect for the dogs and the location so close to the tunnel means we can drive all the way through from Cornwall. It’s become a home from home for us and we would highly recommend it.

Really modern apartment with everything you’d need, very clean and simply decorated. Great location, just a short walk from shops and the beach. The beds are super comfy, although the pillows weren’t great and the shower was amazing. Previous reviews mentioned the bathroom door doesn’t shut, but the bathroom door now has a lock, so no longer an issue. If staying in Wimereux again, I’d definitely stay here.

The view was amazing! Couldn't have asked for a better sea view. The sound of the waves could be heard from the living room!! 😍 The studio was beautifully presented and decorated. We loved how equipped the studio was and was surprised that so much was provided (washing up liquid, cleaning products, tea towel, bin bags, tea and coffee, kettle and senseo coffee machine etc). The shutters kept out a lot of light which was great for having a lay in! The patio with picnic bench was lovely as we got to eat outside most meal times. The sun loungers were a fantastic addition too! Very comfy! The location was brilliant. 10-15 minute walk to Wimereux sea front/centre. 5 minute walk to the nearest intermarche (including petrol pumps) and pharmacy. 5-10 minute walk to the nearest bakery (Sophie's) and Aldi. 15 minute drive to the nearest Auchan, E.Lecrec and decathlon. 20 minute drive to Wissant and 20-30 minutes from Calais! Miryam was extremely welcoming and was an attentive host. The bed was comfortable and we didn't hear any of the neighbours so it was a very quiet and relaxing holiday. There were cows outside the property in a paddock which was lovely to see! There is also a football pitch next to the houses which can be used by the public.

We've stayed with Vivienne and Stephan previously, just as a stop-over, and came back here (returning from a trip) intending to spend a couple of nights in the area. Vivienne and Stephan are lovely hosts. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed (with separate entrances). The house is located in a very quiet village set in beautiful rolling countryside studded with charming little villages. Vivienne and Stephan have directed us to some really good local restaurants. Additionally, the breakfast they serve is excellent (look out for Vivienne's home-made jams). I'm sure most tourists zoom past this area, to get as far away from the chunnel as quickly as possible but that's a mistake: the countryside is lovely and the Opal coast is wild and has beautiful beaches. I can recommend La Villa Belle wholeheartedly.

Francoise was a lovely host. She insisted that we use her garage for our car overnight and assisted in booking an excellent local seafood restaurant. Breakfast was excellent, the perfect amount, and NOT a full English!
