Lovely quiet location. We had the house to ourselves. Christine was lovely to talk to and had a lot of information on the Somme battlefield throughout the house. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommended

An excellent property in a charming location. The absence of traffic and busy roads makes this a peaceful location if you have had a busy day touring the local battlefield sites of Picardy. An excellent location and an equally charming host, Richard, who could mot have done any more to assist.

Breakfast was what i expected from reading previous reviews. Excellent. Fresh produce. Lots of choice. Eggs cooked however you wanted them. Tea (yorkshire tea 👍) especially welcome and fresh coffee. The hosts Diane and Vic were great. One of my adult sons said Diane was “probably the nicest person i have ever met”! She also helped over a particular issue i had. Thankfully i wish to report for the rest of our holiday it was “all quiet on the Western Front”. Location for us was no problem …in the middle of the Somme…. A quiet village halfway between our visit to Normandy from the Netherlands. Perfect for us to briefly explore our relatives who fought here in the first world war.

It was a great property, Diane the host was extremely kind and accommodating - not to mention a great WW1 guide of the local area. the house has a very open downstairs area that opened up onto a great garden - which was a hit. You could look out into the garden through floor to ceiling windows and doors. The fireplace was another feature that we love in addition to the two rooms and kitchen. Can’t fault the place, 100% recommend

The location was excellent for touring the World War one battlefields, loved the layout of the building and we all slept well as the village is very quiet. Very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our evenings in the Gite. Lovely owners as well.

Excellent, spacious property and rooms were decorated and furnished to a high standard to match the WW1 setting. The hosts John and Claire were very welcoming and John very kindly gave up his time to show us several of the interesting sights of the area. How lovely that John had also took the time to research about our relative who had been killed during the war so that we were able to learn more about his last moments in the Guillemont area.

Stunning location, nice quiet village. Nice little restaurant around 200m away. Ideal if you're travelling by motorcycle as host allowed us to park our bikes within their farm shed. Cute dogs live there too!
