Everything was excellent, we wish we knew in advance how nice it is, we would have stayed an extra day or two.
Also make sure you dine at the small outdoor restaurant down by the river called La Capitainerie. Amazing food and wonderful owners who run it.

I booked Domaine de Montizeau as a practical place to break a long car journey driving down through France, but now I've discovered this little gem will be sure to return for a longer stay. Laurent was a wonderful host, welcoming us in on our arrival and happy to point us in the direction of the nearby and very pretty medieval town of Beaugency for our evening meal. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, with communal access to a charming living room and kitchen which were you staying for a while would be so useful for making drinks and picnics, reading the paper or playing board games. The all-inclusive breakfast was délicieux, a generous table laden with French pastries, cheese and charcuterie and yummy little homemade treats. The rooms open directly on to the beautiful garden and grounds, all close to the driveway & private parking drive which was perfect for my parents as their room was easily accessible with no difficult stairs. Hope to be back soon!
We were very heartily welcomed to this property, which, despite its central location, is a very quiet place, surrounded by green patches and with plenty of parking space all around. We stayed in the aparthotel block, where rooms are more spacious and come with a small kitchenette. The centre of the pretty village of Meung-sur-Loire is only a few hundred yards away.
This Gite was amazing! Beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Eric was so hospitable on arrival & departure, showing us around the Gite & telling us where to visit. Such a lovely quiet village,
We could have stayed here for a week.
My boys loved playing table tennis outside which was a nice activity to have.
We can't wait to return.
