Manfred was an excellent host with a very interesting property. We were invited for homemade aperitif in the cave below the house, a welcome respite from the hot weather. It could accommodate seven of us reasonably comfortably. It is quiet. The photos give a true picture of it - nothing super attractive, but serviceable. Plenty of hot water. The couple who provided us with the keys (owners or caretakers?) were pleasant; they speak no English.

Kerrie and Kerry are exceptional hosts, who treated us almost like family! The meals - and the accompanying conversation - were superb. La Jagée is conveniently located near some of the most charming Loire Valley chateaux, but away from the world's noise. We shall most certainly return!
