Tina warmly welcomed us as soon as we arrived. The home itself was ideally located and within walking distance from everything, as well as part of the route of the hike we had anticipated to take, Les Chênes Verts. While we spent the majority of the little time we had exploring, the house itself was a delight and well equipped for a cozy stay.

We enjoyed the spacious apartment with its tasteful furnishings. Its location in the heart of very busy La Roque Gageac was nevertheless a private retreat.

Can't praise Nathalie enough. A very smiley, friendly face to greet us after a long drive down. Had time to give advice on where to go and what to see. Very attentive and apologetic when we had a couple of minor issues. Stay here, you'll not regret it.

Frédéric & his wife are incredibly warm hosts at Les Hauts de Gageac in Dordogne. The property is absolutely stunning! Driving up to the stay is a bit tricky but not impossible. Our room was L’Intime. Spacious, beautiful, immaculately clean & well appointed. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom is well lit and a nice touch was the triple-style charge adapters on the nightstands. We woke well rested to the birds singing. Absolutely perfect breakfast in the beautiful old house (200+ years old) with original beams & fire place. We had the most flavorful seeded bread that we’ve ever had in Europe. Fresh croissants, homemade jams, cheese, granola, fresh fruit + yogurt, fantastic coffee. Our only disappointment was that we had a fast overnight stay! Gorgeous pool with valley views, a longer stay would truly be rejuvenating. Walking to town takes about 15 mins along a small road uphill & downhill with picturesque views of the river & town. Unbelievably perfect stay in La Roque-Gageac!
