The hostess, Marlene, is very polite, helpful and makes you feel really welcome. They offered us local wine of the area to welcome us! They supply tea/ coffee as standard B&B. It was an opportunity to experience a unique story of a chateau which was steeped in the history of aeroplane invention and lovingly restored from near ruin by a family who very nearly committed to making it French TV’s own ‘Escape to the Chateau’. It is quirky and perhaps not the finished article, but much appreciated by us and it seems the other guests. To like? The grounds and ease of parking. Small number of guests, care and attention of staff, fabulous location at the confluence of Loire and Maine.

A very unique stay in a safari tent in the French countryside. Clean and comfortable bathroom to use and a small kitchen where breakfast was served. A selection of games were available to use - both indoor and outdoor. Lots of additional bedding available should it get cold in the tent (it didn’t). A very relaxing stay.
Laure is a very welcoming and helpful host, making suggestions for dinner and routes for both bike rides and drives to see villages in the Loire region.
