Lovely situation above the village, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and interesting comfortable decor. Very warm welcome from hosts who took a real interest in us and I making our stay so enjoyable ( and providing veggie food!)Super to chat Marie with other guests over an aperitif and then eat together. Unique accommodation in an authentic 15th century setting. Spacious room overlooked a courtyard and bathroom was roomy and modern. Whilst the route to find it was somewhat circuitous, the host's detailed instructions were very helpful. Le Jardin du Dolaizon is easy to find and has private parking. It is in a quiet location about a 15 minute stroll to the centre of the old town. The house is beautiful and was fully renovated by owners Marie-Odile and Phillipe over an 18 month period. It is a splendid house that is beautifully decorated and furnished, and it has a lovely outside porch area overlooking the shady garden. Our room, Mesange Bleu (which I reckon means blue tit) is spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, very comfortable and overlooks the garden. Breakfast is very nice and consists of fruit juice, home made yogurt, crusty bread with a selection of jams,and delicious home made cake or the famous clafoutis, which is excellent. This was our first visit here and we were made to feel most welcome. We look forward to returning.
