We stayed at Manoir de la Fontaine Du Chene for 2 nights between campsites. It was a delight to stay in this authentic French house. Lovely quiet place, a great garden to sit in, (where I heard a Golden Oriole) yummy breakfast with jams, eggs and fruit from the garden.. Super host, excellent spot for the Loire Valley. Room, including bed, was spacious and comfortable. Good bathroom. Kettle and fridge. A swimming pool although we did not try it out. Do go to Terra Botanica in Angers. We spent a day there very easily. Wish we had booked 3 nights instead of 2.

Very good communication, very easy check-in and out, good reliable heating system. Plus, everything new, cosy, clean and as on pictures. The house has lots of character and the attic is any children's dream. The location is charming, small village close to the Loire and lots to see within an hour's range!

The lady was very nice and so were the people who worked there. I loved the chickens and ducks and peacocks which roamed around on the grounds.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of local produce, including fresh apple juice and jams infused with herbs from the garden, and quite possibly the best baguettes and croissants we have ever had. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, especially the beautiful dog Poppy. Our children fell in love with her immediately and were so sad to say goodbye to her. For our girls, Poppy was the highlight of our three weeks in France!

Ludovic stayed up to welcome us after our flight was delayed. The provision of food for breakfast was very appreciated. The gite was beautiful and well equipped. Pool was very clean and great fun to relax by. Ability to use bikes to explore the local area was great. Lovely areas to relax in, inside and out, and games provided to play. Perfectly quiet location, with super restaurants nearby. Thank you Ludovic and Cathy for a wonderful holiday
