We stayed here after visiting Beauvais Cathedral. it is a really interesting chateau in a very quiet location. From what I was able to understand the owner is Iranian and has recruited Persian speaking Afghans to run the hotel and they did a good job (and spoke good French too). Chaumont-en-Vexin is very quiet in August and we ended up having to drive all the way over to Gisors to find a restaurant that was open for dinner.

Our hosts were delightful. The cottage sits in the garden of the hosts' home, but provides for great privacy. The cottage is comfortably decorated and perfect for a couple or small family. Beautiful village setting in the picturesque French countryside. A perfect getaway!
