Wonderful place in a beautiful region. We had a great view from the window on the green gloomy hills (unfortunately it was rainy), and in sunny weather you are able to see the Pyrenees. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the breakfast was delicious with home-made pancakes, a home-made lemonade and various jams.

Just outside an historic medieval village, the house is modern and comfortable. Timing prevented us from enjoying the pool, which was clear and warm. The host and hostess were charming and obliging; the breakfast, mostly of home made or local food, was truly excellent! We had an enjoyable meal in the village, where a pageant was being performed.

The very warm welcome and fantastic advice from Salvo and Cecile, particularly relating to where to explore in the daytime and where to eat in the evenings. Breakfasts were great and the views from the property were spectacular and ever changing. A pleasure to stay at L'écrin des Gaves. Sabrina & Claude are excellent hosts and they have a beautiful home. The room was large, comfortable and tastefully decorated. They offer excellent food at breakfast with lots of local produce. We pre-booked dinner, cooked by Claude, and it was delicious. The views from the house are exceptional. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay here!
