After a warm welcome, our hostess Carole took excellent care of us the whole week! The long history of this estate is unbelievable and she told us all about it with wonderful visual proof of photos and articles. Our (family)room 'Mozart' was lovely and very spacious. The room is facing north to the very busy crossing of three mainroads with heavy traffic but it didn't really disturb us. We enjoyed the lovely French breakfast to the music of Mozart (who stayed here at the age of 7!), of course, and Carole's home-made jams, baking and fresh figs were the best! She also gave us great tips and all the information about the sights worth visiting and also about the restaurants in the area. We drove through beautiful small villages (always avoiding motorway) and saw some excellent art at 'La Piscine' and 'Louvre-Lens' and some gorgeous architecture like 'Villa Cavrois' and 'Familistère Guise'.
