It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some days in a relaxing and calm environment, very close to Carcassonne. If you like nature and walking, there are nice routes around the hotel. On top of that, the bed was very comfortable and the room was so nice. We had a warm welcome and they made us feel at home since the beginning. But the best of everything was the dinner, the best we have eaten in ages!!! If you visit this part of France, we strongly recommend Les Houstalous! We will repeat for sure!! :)

Quiet place. Very pleasant host. Food was excellent. Bed very confortable. This an old house restored, so you must admit all items are not 100% new, but as far as it makes the job, this is fine.

The property was large and superbly equipped. The lovely landlady was on hand to help with anything had we needed it. There was a bookcase full of great books to read, good shops nearby, a castle to explore, lakes to swim in, forests and mountains to walk in and terrific local markets in a very untouristy part of France. In a boiling hot summer it was cool. I could not recommend it highly enough. We will certainly return. Good for birds too!
