Our stay at the chateau couldn’t have been more perfect. The Chateau was charming and peaceful. The hosts had perfectly preserved the essence and beauty of the Chateau, it was like we had travelled back in time. While keeping the authenticity of the original place, the bathrooms had modern touches and were super clean. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were nice enough to provide a cot for our baby. The breakfast was also superb and the hosts were kind enough to arrange the breakfast outside per our request. Everything was perfect and magical. Don’t think twice before staying here.

Beautiful property, finished with great style by the owner. Very warm welcome, and couldn’t have been any more helpful with information about the house and the town. Room was very comfortable with great bed and wonderful bathroom. Breakfast was simple, but full of home grown and home made ingredients.

The location is excellent, the host is incredible kind and nice person, willing to help in anything you need. I had to take the train next day but was a strike from the train station workers so Alain drive me to the next city to take my train to Bordeaux and take my flight in time.

We would have liked to stay longer at La Cle du Puy. We were passing through on our bikes for just one night (great bike storage) and hadn't sorted an evening meal for ourselves. Our hosts provided us with a fabulous cured meat and cheese platter at very short notice, which included the most delicious homemade wild boar terrine and pickled girolles - one of the gastronomic highlights of our tour - together with some excellent local wine. Breakfast was lovely with homemade pancakes, jams, local bread, etc. There is plenty of outdoor space for relaxing and the accommodation itself was of a very high standard, as was the shower. Highly recommend a few nights here.

The breakfast was lovely. Little handmade pastries every day were joyful. We were given a delicate of wine. The owner made the charm of the building and the story behind the house come to life with his tales and was always very happy to chat.
