Superb location right by the lake. We loved the private sauna and jumping into the lake right after. We saw some amazing sunsets from the cottage! It has a fully equipped kitchen so cooking was no problem at all. And last but not the least, Leila and Ari were amazing hosts. We pre-booked Leila’s breakfast which was super yummy and a great start to the day. Leila also recommend a hiking route through a forest not too far from the cottage which was really nice! It’s about a 25 min drive to Repovesi national park, ideal for day hikes.

Sleeping in a jurta was a pleasant change during our vacation. It is comfortable, nicely equipped so we felt like at home there. It is in the forest with no direct lake access but the lake shore is just a few steps (and the swim was so good!). The hosts are very nice and the breakfast was just fantastic - a piece of art which tasted very well.

It's very comfortable place. Rami is hospitable host and also very good man, who always can help you. We have wonderful memories of this staying. It's also very good that the house is about 10 minutes on foot from railway station, from which you can get train to Helsinki or its airport. I recommend this place for all travelers.

We had a great stay for 1 week at Villa Avanto in Suomenniemi. The location is stunning, with beautiful lake views and a private forest area. No neighbors. The villa is well-equipped with a modern kitchen and a relaxing sauna. Comfortable bed. There are some activities like fishing (we did not try, but tools were available), boating, and hiking to enjoy. While the cleanliness could have been a bit better (pier and summer kitchen grill), everything else was fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend it for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Very clean, lots of nice ‘pockets’ to chill, read, separate grilling house, Great Lake and nice sand beach, very private, 6 mins drive to village centre with nice brewery, water everywhere, friendly host, just lush!
