XXL caravan with half board was really good value for money, the food was lovely and waking up between the mountains everyday is a view we will really miss. There are no shops nearby so make sure you buy snacks before you come. We actually found this a real bonus because you're not caught up in the usual consumerism and over indulgence. Make sure you budget for traveling to and from this place... it should be considered a retreat.... a relaxing hideaway for adventurous souls looking for tranquility, snorkeling, walking, sun and sea. The villa is located in the hills adjacent to the cactus gardens. It has a nice cactus garden all its own, with many varieties. We had a car so it was easy for us to shop for groceries in La Aldea and go to the rocky beaches for a morning. But we mostly stayed around the house, ate all of our meals there, also visited the extensive cactus gardens. Our two young kids were thrilled to explore and play in the garden as they had grown up in the desert of the American southwest. It is quiet and peaceful, though there are rural sounds of roosters, dogs barking and the donkey braying. We visited in late January so the weather was ideal with cool nights and warm, sunny days. The back terrace overlooks the pool and is very enjoyable for meals.
