Santes Creus is a monastery which altogether is a work of art, historic and world class for it's architecture and astounding beauty. The house next door, which is where you can stay, has impressively large rooms, and even in August due to the thick walls and breezes, you stay cool and regal. The manager is very personable, helpful in every way, even brought us pepper when we were about to serve dinner. We were there for a 50th birthday celebration - and all the guests were impressed, incredulous that you could actually stay in an Abby, and slept comfortably.
