Elena’s property was well equipped, and the parking very secure. The No1 Bus into the centre was easy to use (€1.20) so we didn’t need our car during our stay to sightsee. Lovely to have a separate bathroom and shower room. I’d highly rate Elena as a top host.

Rodrigo (if i remembered it right) is almost 80 years of age. He is not the fastest anymore, but makes great company. Together with his wife they cook home cooked meals for a very decent price. The rooms are very clean.
The dinner and breakfast are moments to remember. Rodrigo can be verry sarcastic and has a great sense of humor. On the other hand his wife is very relaxed and is not bothered by the orders she gets from rodrigo. Everything together makes this a stay to remember.

We chose Numancia Pension because of its relative closeness to the Long Distance Train Station of Burgos, where we had to catch a train early in the morning. Good price and for a short trip definetly recommendable! You should be aware that the quite small kitchen is shared.
The 2 star Hostal Santiago 2 is located next to Parque Lineal del Vena, in a quiet residential area of Burgos. Burgos city center is a 30-minute walk away.
