We had an amazing stay, really relaxing and enjoyable. Communication with Roberta during the booking process was seamless and Riccardo (living in the small flat on ground floor - with independent entrance from the main house), who looks after the house, was very friendly and always available in case we needed anything but very discreet and unobtrusive. The house is a dream: perfect location, amazing views out to the ocean, a lovely roof terrace to watch the stars (a must in La Palma!), a huge garden with picturesque spots to sit and relax. The house is incredibly well equipped (including in the kitchen, laundry, etc.), very comfortable tastefully furnished, and it feels like you're living in a real 'home' not just a holiday cottage. There is a also a piano to strum a few tunes if you feel like it (a bonus for us!). The house is very easy to reach and well connected to all main attractions in Mazo (a lovely village/small town), the surrounding landscape of Malpais and beautiful volcanic coast, only a few minutes to beaches like Salemera and Cancajos and on the doorstep of many lovely trekking paths. This was our second visit, and we'll be back again for sure!

We stayed at Casa Hoya Limpia for a week and it was perfect. The hosts, Diego and Juan, are very helpful and kind people. They welcomed us and were always available if we needed anything. They also brought us home-grown papayas to try, very tasty. The house is well equipped. We were staying on the top floor and were completely alone in the house, which was amazing. I am not sure whether we just got lucky or if the bottom floor is never rented out. The house was very clean. The shower is nice and spacious and there were more than enough towels provided. The beds are comfortable, maybe a bit too soft if you need solid back support. All of the windows have mosquito nets installed. The kitchen had all utensils we needed for cooking, there is also a microwave a toaster and a big fridge. From the kitchen you can access the balcony, which was our favourite spot in the house. Beautiful view, just perfect to enjoy the ocean breeze and the sunshine. Outside is a well maintained lawn and a garden with a pool. The pool is big, although we did not use it as the water was a bit too cold and it was quite windy all week. However it was very nice just to sit next to it and relax on the terrace and watch the little geckos run around the stones in the garden 😊 Free parking is available in front of the house. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. You will absolutely need a rental car (I recommend cicar company) when visiting La Palma, I don't know about the bus connections but we once went out by foot and tried getting a taxi back shortly after 9pm and it was a disaster, the taxi company kept hanging up on us, even on the Spanish locals when they tried to call for us. Luckily someone in the restaurant knew a taxi driver and saved us from walking 2 hours uphill from Los Cancajos. (If you are there visit Insolito, very good restaurant) All in all, it was a perfect vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay in the La Palma Ocean View apartment. The apartment was great, the host was really friendly and answered questions via messages that arose during our stay. The apartment is modern, full of natural light due to huge windows and is provided with bedclothes, towels, kitchen utilities, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, washing machine and tourist maps/guides. It is perfect, if you are in La Palma to drive around and hike and want a quiet place to live for a while. There is an amazing view from the balcony, although you have to take into account that since there are clouds over the ocean you will not see the sunrise (the sun came out around 9-10 a.m. during our stay) and overall the east side of the island is more cloudy than the west side. Some points to consider: 1) To get to the apartment, take a taxi or rent a car from the airport. We walked there, since it was "only 3.2 km", but it took us around 50 minutes because the entire road is uphill and we were exhausted - so I would not suggest it. And follow the Google Maps link that the host sends you since the link from The Booking shows the wrong address. 2) The apartment is away from the grocery stores, beaches, cafes and there is really nowhere to go by foot, so you will need a car. Although you need to take into account that the roads in La Palma are a sight of their own (high slope roads!!!) - so the car has to be powerful and your driving skills really good! 3) Keep your dry foods sealed or in the fridge since there are a lot of geckos around the island and one had gotten into the apartment and had hidden into our muesli box. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend the apartment!

The house is beautiful with an amazing view and in a quiet area. It is neat, clean and tidy and equipped with everything needed. The hosts are extremely kind, helpful and try to make their best in giving a warm welcome and make one feel as comfortable as possible. I would and will definitely recommend it.
