The beds were the best we had in traveling through out Spain. They had ice in the freezer. They also had cooking oil and spices. The people who run the apartment are exceptional! Most comfortable stay we had in Spain for our thirty day vacation. I will return. I would highly recommend this place to any group of of 3 - 5 walking the Camino. Great value and a great change of pace. Worth every euro!

We were travelling on a not so easy to predict schedule. The host was very flexible while we informed him more than once that our ETA had changed again. Still we were received by two kind ladies who had been patiently waiting for us and showed us the apartment. They gave very helpful tips about shops in the area. The apartment is within walking distance from shops and bakery. Also a very good restaurant (1000 kolorau, although not cheap and with a somewhat grumpy waiter) nearby. Excellent internet (fiber, 500 Mb/s up and download!). Comfortable shower, well equipped, comfortable floor (wood). Quiet area, good soundproof windows. Pleasant terrace with morning sun. Reserved parking space.

Perfect location: just across the road from the railway station. Access directions were accurate and easy to follow. The apartment itself is exquisite: spacious, clean and providing every amenity a traveler needs. Cooked our own meals, and wanted for nothing in terms of meal preparation: knives, cutting board, pots and pans. Stayed in a lot of places over the past four months and Gernika Apartments is definitely the best equipped so far!! There’s even a washing machine and dryer that work.
