Jose was an excellent host, the room was beautiful, very comfortable.The house was situated in a quiet village with only bird song and cows tinkly bells, no traffic noise.The setting is idyllic.Jose was very informative about the area, provided advice on places to visit, and gave us a map.He left chocolate bars on our bedside table, a thoughtful gesture.The breakfast he served us was plentiful with good varied ingredients.He was kind, generous and most accommodated.We would definitely like to visit again!

Beautiful location in a rural village. Lovely traditional house. Owner took great care of all guests. Taking evening dinner at Villalen is highly recommended. Only slightly off the Camino Norte. One of my best stays.
Villalen is incredible! We stayed here while walking the Camino del Norte and cannot recommend it highly enough. Our room was lovely and the property is beautiful and peaceful. Carlos, the host, makes a delicious multi-course evening meal that is priced for peregrinos (don’t miss this meal!). Breakfast was also excellent. Staying here was like a little slice of heaven!
The La Rexidora apartments are in a new building in a very nice village. We enjoyed the surroundings. It was very calm. Not even dogs were barking like in most of the other areas. Martina was very helpful in WhatsApp. I think without her instructions we would not have been able to find the house.
The craftsman of the wood and tile work in the room was superb and the Mountain View’s beautiful. We opted to dine on-site and particularly enjoyed a traditional Spanish evening meal. Villalin is a perfect Camino respite!
