This apartment on the 1st and 2nd floors has just been refurbished. The quality of the new fixtures and fittings were excellent and cleverly use the very restricted space to best advantage. The hosts were friendly and helpful. If you want to be in the center of a very authentic Spanish village then this place is superb. Marta and her family are wonderful hosts and were very helpful throughout. The apartment is cozy and comfortable—perfect for a solo traveller, a couple or a small family. It is very well-equipped for short stays, in case you want to cook or wash clothes. Upon arrival, you are prepped with the basics: tea, snacks, canned drinks, bread, etc. The apartment is also located next to the Plaza Mayor, which is very convenient for dining out. If you are arriving by car, you can park by the plaza easily or elsewhere nearby.

This is a top quality place to stay. Located in a really cool small town. Very Spanish and thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel is completely renovated (approx one year ago) yet keeps many of the traditional historic features as in the well and cellar. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. They are well appointed and the showers are excellent. Facilities as in the swimming pool. Super clean and big enough to chill out in along with a children's area at the top end. There is also a gym facility and opportunity to book a massage. (on-site) Car parking is on-site in a private garage adjacent to the hotel court yard. This accessed via the rear of the property. The host was most helpful in how to access. If you have an above average sized car be aware Spanish historic streets are not that wide!! Should guests wish there are full facilities to BBQ/cook both covered and internal to the buildings. Breakfast is optional (recommended) plentiful and very fresh. Very enjoyable. Mercedes is a truly lovely host and nothing is too much trouble, from helping with parking guidance to serving a great breakfast. The town Colmenar de Oreja is a very traditional Spanish town with a Plaza Mayor 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Plenty of bars/restaurants around the plaza. One of the nicest restaurants we used for menu del dia and also for dinner , both exceptionally good and value for money was Crescencio Restaurante (opposite the large church) in the centre of the town. In summary, fantastic hotel with great staff. If you are looking for a place to stay in a super little town Tinajones is a must.
