Laura and Carlos were very friendly accommodating hosts. There was a beautiful night view of the Rosas coast and the full moon from the patio. The room was very comfortable and done in good taste. There was complete silence at night and we got a very good night's sleep. We ate an excellent breakfast outside in the yard with fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, bread, cheese, coffee, juice etc. We're sorry we only spent one night.

The location was great since we were only passing through and staying one night in order to visit the Dali Theatre and Museum, which we walked to. The apartment was spacious enough, and certainly good for a family.

Casa Báscara is a home away from home! Expect the warmest welcome from the host Luc. You are very much left to your own devices and welcome to pop into the kitchen to grab a snack or croissant during the day, and of course there is a hearty spread prepared for breakfast. Wants eggs? Grab some from the counter and grab a frying pan! Want to heat up your oat milk? You're welcome to use the microwave in the kitchen. Luc provided lovely fresh, traditional local bread with cheese, ham, fruit, croissants and juice for breakfast. You're free to whip together a plate of whatever takes your fancy in typical local style.
Thankfully Luc is more than happy to share his story of the incredible building, which he fully renovated himself, building a spiral staircase down a well (!) which opens into a wine cellar (!). There's so much to learn and we wowed by at this renovated 14th century bishop's mansion and Luc's story of it. Luc is very kind and accommodating, it's almost like staying with a helpful friend who also doesn't get in your way. Our room was finished to a very high standard, and although the toilet is behind the shower and without a door, there are a few other toilets in the communal areas of the property you can use for privacy from your parter, so that wasn't a problem for us. Luc was also very flexible and accommodating with the check out time (which we were especially thankful for considering we were visiting for a wedding!)

The breakfast on its own right deserves a visit to this beautifully renovated old Catalan farmhouse in a small village. Almost everything is home made, delicious, high quality ingredients and a really complete breakfast to start a long day. Julie is a wonderful host. The facilities are great, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large.
In a cozy little village, the apartment is located in a beautiful little square with a simple but pleasant bar/restaurant, very tasteful yet original furbishing. Beautiful restored old farm house, comfortable with all facilities. Nice location in the picturesque village. Very comfortable room, intimate atmosphere but most of all lovely host. Breakfast was delicious with many options and healthy choices. We traveled with a dog and cat and both were welcome and cared for. Right behind the house lovely fields for great walks with the dog. We have already booked another day for our trip back home.

We also really enjoyed the restaurant just across the street.The location is excellent, central to both the coast and villages/hikes in the west.
