The 12 apartments are within a recently constructed building on the location of an old inn that played an important role in German democratic history. The apartment was comfortable and equipped in IKEA style. The location of the place is excellent. Very close to the famous Drachenslucht gorge (400 m walk), and the Wartburg castle (just 1 km hike). Most of the rooms have shutters before the windows, but it is good to bring your own eyeshades if you want to sleep in the dark. Next door is a Biergarten, which is open during the daytime until about 6 pm.

The remote location made it so peaceful, the house was clean and modern, everything that we could need was provided, there was a path directly behind the house to the hiking trails, Drachenschlucht is a walking distance away, parking just in front of the house, the friendly owner provided extra directions to make it easier to find, early check in was possible (even after a late request), we would have loved to use the fireplace but it was too warm outside, we will come back in the winter
