Puddemin is extremely quiet this time of the year, with nothing much to do or see in walking distance, but that suited us. Our apartment's living room and balcony faced the harbour (right in front, about 10 metres away). Wonderful and relaxing view. We loved that the living room had a fireplace (Kamin), but there was no firewood provided, nor for sale on location. We fortunately found some at a Baumarkt while exploring Rügen, but selling firewood on the spot would be a good idea for the colder half of the year. I was particularly impressed by the kitchen equipment, and I don't just mean the excellent appliances but first of all the little things like a cheese grater, tea towels, oven mitts and so forth. Even for a longer stay, one would not need to bring any kitchen stuff. Our apartment had a bedroom with a double bed, and a sofa bed in the living room where we put the children to bed. That, unfortunately, meant that after their bedtime, we parents were restricted to the kitchen, anteroom and master bedroom. That is OK, but I would suggest installing at least a curtain or preferably a door between the kitchen and the living room so that children can sleep in the living room and not be bothered by lights and noise from outside.
