Also advised us how to spend our free time and showed us many animals, it was such a pleasure to spend some days with them. This place is an untouched paradise, a beautiful beach is just 1 min. walk, the cabins are located on the beach but the abundant vegetation doesn’t allow to see the sea from the cabins. The route to the cabins itself is an adventure, 4x4 car is a must. The three days we spent there were The best of our visit to the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We will be back there for another holidays for sure.

We booked this stay on very short notice. At 5.30pm the host responded immediatly and said we were welcome. They prepared the room right away. The couple is so friendly and helpful!
Our bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned whenever we asked. We could make full use of the kitchen. The place was quiet and there was aguti's roaming the garden.

The hosts, food and location are great! The location is a bit remote and getting there is a little adventure, but I loved it. You will have a full jungle experience when you get there. They have some additional trails you can hike and the tours they offered are great too.

We were picked up from the boat by Edu in a very friendly way as we disembarked onto the beach. It was an exciting trip up river from Sierpe which is the main launch place for Drake Bay. He drove us the twenty minutes or so to the Lodge. Arriving there was one of the highlights of our time in Costa Rica. We picked up his daughters from school on the way which almost made us feel part of the family. Sabrina welcomed us to their lovely veranda style "restaurant" with a salad lunch as looked out over the lagoon and to the Pacific Ocean beyond.
From there we were taken to our tree house which Edu had made using wood from the forest or the beach. It was beautiful with a lovely veranda almost filled by the double hammock. The accommodation was much more luxurious than we had been expecting.
We had supper each night cooked by the family and it was delicious. There are only two lodges and so it feels a really personal experience. Everywhere is very clean but also open to the natural world. The setting is amazing with the forest surrounding you on three sides and then a wonderful view down to the lagoon.
Edu will canoe you across to the beach where there is a wonderful walk along the Pacific and you are very likely to see red macaw and monkeys. He will pick you up later or you can just take a canoe yourself. His canoe tour of the local waterways is also magic.
We did a trip to the Corcovado Reserve and saw a tapir which was very special. We went to San Pedrillo which is nearer to Drake Bay and a bit less busy than some of the other stations. Your hosts will organise this for you as it has to be booked in advance.
Sabrina and Edu are just the most lovely people and do everything they can to make sure your stay with them the best time.
We can't recommend this place highly enough and if we were going back to Costa Rica, we would definitely want to go here again.

The apartment is well located and clean, has a kind of private but not secure parking and the AC and Wifi are working great. However, we paid 200 euro/night in low season for three nights in total with a party of four. That being said, we think there were quite a few relatively small things missing that could have made a big difference. Especially considering the price we paid. For instance, there are no blinding curtains (sun rises at 5:30am). The promised toiletries didn’t really meet up to our expectations either, a small peace of soap and two miniature conditioners were all we got (mind you, for 3 days for 4 people). Kitchen is relatively well equipped with pots and pans, a coffee maker and a microwave. But there is no kettle to make a cup of tea and basic things like salt, pepper and oil are missing (tea, coffee and sugar were there). Also two wine glasses and two mugs for a 4 people apartment seems a bit spare. The only table and chairs to sit and eat are the balcony furniture so when it’s too hot to sit outside you have your dinner on the bed? Overall quite some things missing, which can be acceptable, but not for this price. There are plenty of other accommodations nearby that offer way better value for money.
For the extra mugs and cutlery we messaged the owner and he was very friendly and brought us everything within a couple of hours. He also responded very fast.

My stay was at Casita Happy feet was great. Javier and his family make sure you feel like home. The place feels very safe and clean and the kitchen offers everything you need. The room also offers an A/C what is very convenient with the heat.
Also the location is very central but still calm and relaxed. It's not even 5 minutes of walking from the beach, a supermarket is in the same street and many restaurants are close by.
As Javier is also a tourguide he can tell you a lot about the wildlife and the surrounding area. I did a tour with him to Corcovado and is was really good. Also, he did a bird watching tour with me. If you want to do other tours he helps you with the booking. I would definetely recommend his place.

The family that owns the Villa are very friendly. The view is amazing!. Lots of bird watching! Room with view is a must. Will certainly come back here if we travel to Drake Bay again
Norma was a lovely host, super helpful and nice to chat to, shared her home with me and showed me some of the local area, and helped me book a tour to La Sirena. Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Quiet location just beyond the village.
I loved the village , it felt relatively safe and it gave more freedom for alone hike on trail along coast. I loved terrace and The view . And Leo is a great host , taking good care of his guests.
The area of hotel was amazing! A garden with lots of animals, aguti, birds- ara parrots, colibers. I loved to wake up very early and watch it on our balcony. The owners were very friendly, they gave us a drive from the boat. The hotel is at the end of this small village and that makes it much more charming. The air conditioner is only in bedroom but it wasn’t obstacle for us.

The location was OK since it was not too far from the village and the Bay itself and we came by car so we could get around easily, however, if you don't have a car it is still pretty far from the center of the village. A lot of animals, like Tucans and monkeys, in the area is a bonus. The closest beach is OK if you don't want to get into the water, otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it because it looks dangerous because the surf is very strong.
Great location, on the limit of the Corcovado National Park and next to the beach. Lovely family run property which is great value for money considering that all 3 meals are included in the price (which is pretty necessary considering that you are a 30min drive from the village of Drake). The beaches are beautiful.
Our hosts were friendly and helpful, were able to organise an excursion for us and also show us some of the wildlife close to the property.
This place is nice appartment just above the center of Drake Bay. It's situated next to the road but very quite. The whole village and also this place are really friendly and calming. The hosts Tico and Sonya are so helpful and provide you with everything you need. A ride to the beach (the walk can be strenuous for older people because of the heat and because it's a climb up and down) was always offered by Tico when we had an excursion booked.
Great place to stay. We rented the spacious and fully equipped holiday home for six persons. No sea views but in the middle of a small exotic garden with lots of birds, which gives you a great jungle experience, in particular from the pleasant balcony upstairs. Close to the beach and Drake Bay's center. Very welcoming and helpful staff.
