This courtyard is full of beautiful design details and traditional cultural elements. Location is very convenient, only a few minutes of walk away from the busiest area in Dali old town, close to everything that a tourist needs, yet it is very quiet. We spent 4 nights at Dali Dare which was super nice and calming - it was a place where time slowed down for us. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view from the balcony. The hosts were lovely and super welcoming. Had the best mi xian (rice noodles) for breakfast!
The location is a bit isolated - it’s about 30 mins drive to Dali Ancient Town but it was also nice being away from the crowds.
Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Dali.

Dali Buxianshan Boutique Guesthouse is a true gem. Located in the old town, it’s a short walk to everywhere. We had good night sleep here, as it was peaceful at night. We rented electric motorcycle to go around the old town. We also enjoyed the free laundry and hung dry our clothes on the roof-top. The service is excellent. We just used translation app for the language barriers.
