This was the perfect place to stay while hiking in the Cimalmotto and Bosco Gurin area of Valle Maggia. It was on both the 313 and 312 bus routes up the valley so easy to get around without a car. Our host Pablo was so friendly and obliging. We brought our own food with us from the Coop in Cevio and we loved the warm cozy kitchen where we could eat. I rate this place 10 out of 10, not because of the gold plated taps and marble bathroom, but because it suited us perfectly as hikers.

Perfect location in the village of Brione, right next to the bus stop. Old house, very simple but absolutely fine as a base for a hiking holiday. Rosolino was a lovely host.
Someo is an extremely beautiful village, and there is great walking available, The hotel was very good. The room was spacious (we had the quadruple room). The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner when we had it.
The host was very efficient and helpful. The hotel is a converted old building and full of charm.
Cosy and clean. Great starting point for hikes in the Maggia valley.
Excellent bus connection - every 30 min to other villages in the valley and to Locarno train station.

Sometimes a bit loud from the street. Mattresses are ok but not for sensitive backs.
Communication in Italian works fine via email and google translate.
