I wish all my overnights could be at places like this. The room was so charming, there was a sink in the room for getting ready or going to bed. They had a big garage where I could properly store and lock my bike, highly recommend for cyclists coming through the area. The breakfast was amazing and had a big bowl of fresh fruit to go with the musli. There was also a terrace where I ate my dinner after I prepped in the shared kitchen. Delightful!

The owner/Manager of the hotel went above and beyond in the restaurant for our evening meal accommodating our preferences and allergies. Very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and had very comfortable beds. They were very homely and clean. You need to notify the Hotelier in advance of your arrival if you wish to have breakfast provided at the hotel but we were unaware of this. It was not a problem as there is a wonderful bakery down the road where they also provide seating and a menu to eat onsite. We had a hire car so the fact that the hotel was a little off the beaten track in a village was not a problem for us - we enjoyed the peace and quiet and seeing the real Switzerland! Would definitely recommend and would be more than happy to visit Gasthof Lowen again!

Great location (2 min walk from the Aarwangen train station). Spacious and well equipped room (2 wardrobes + chair + table for a 2-bed room). Helpful staff (We arrived at about 8pm and did not know where to get the key. There was no staff on site, so we called the number given when booking. The person answering the phone was very nice and helpful.)
