Me being quite difficult to impress, I left the house feeling like I'm leaving my home after just a couple of days. Initially, I booked it due to the fact that pets are allowed, as I was traveling with my German shepherd - that usually makes it quite difficult to find a place to stay. Despite that, I was made to feel as if I am coming back to old friends instead of arriving to a completely unknown place. The hosts Mariela and Misho are the kindest most hard-working people I've met for the longest time. The moment you step foot in the property you can feel the love used to build and maintain everything. The house is absolutely fantastic and you can see that every detail was well-thought of and balanced. The huge garden makes it even more comfortable to relax, and the high-speed WiFi allows for everyone to work comfortably online. During the summer there's even a pool which is rather unusual for the area and yet cool - while in the colder months the guests can enjoy the multiple activities the area and the hosts can offer. Staying in Bilkarska kashta was not just a B&B stay - it was a lifetime memory that would keep everyone going back there.

Practically the feeling was that of "bulgarian grandparents' house" :) Tanya and Drago are wonderful hosts, helpful with everything you need, welcoming and friendly. The village and the area are ideal for hiking and peace. When you want to forget the noise and bustle of the cities, the place becomes ideal for a few days of peace and relaxation.

Definitely worth a weekend trip. We stayed in the main School house. Incredible large rooms with real fireplace and the whole place had a relaxing ambiance, Pool looked nice for the summer, Nice village above the Krushuna Waterfalls. Friendly welcoming staff. Good for a long weekend. Around the village are many caves and there is horse riding, 2 trampolines and table tennis.

The location is absolutely dreamy. We had the whole place to ourselves felt like we were in a nature retreat. We made our own food in the kitchen which is really useful when you are vegan.
