Mansarde was nicely located in the city center of Diest and easy to find. We were welcomed friendly and the host even offered to put as many of our bidons in the refrigerator as possible (as we were on a kickbike 🛴 from the Netherlands to Paris we carried five each). The room was very clean and comfortable. It felt a little as a sleepover at your grandma's house, this is was both a big plus as well as slightly awkward at times. We could park our kickbikes safely in the host's garage. Breakfast was nice and varied.

And there was a lot of choice concerning bread, home made jams, and charcuterie. You also feel very welcome, because a welcome drink (for instance a local beer) is comprehended in the price. Price is good value for money.

The apartment was spacious, clean, warm and luxurious. The location was peaceful and beautiful, as well as being just 40 minutes drive to Brussels International Airport and 25 minutes to Hasselt. The kitchen was well-equipped, the wi-fi worked well and our hosts were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We even stayed an extra night, which was no problem at all.
