The decor was lovely. Beautiful property and very clean, had everything you needed. The host was very friendly and the lady who made breakfast in the morning was very nice. It was very close to Pairi Daiza which was great for us.

The place is very cosy. It's comfortable for a couple kr very close friends as the you can peek a bit in the bathroom from the above bed. The sauna is a nice plus, it warms up relatively quickly but we did not get it to go above 60° which is not "very hot" (still hot enough to relax and get a good sweat). The place is clean and the kitchen is well equipped (no dishwasher though...). Heater in the bathroom, nice hair dryer and even a hair straightener in case you forgot yours 🤣

In rural Belgium you will find this little gem hidden behind red brick walls in the Wallonian town of Rebaix. The B&B was originally an old pottery, hence the name La Poterie, but has been tastefully refurbished over the last two years to a very high standard. E-mail correspondance with La Poterie was a doddle, the landlady is fluent in English if you don't master the French language, so my fellow travellers and I felt comfortable before departing Denmark. We were met with great hospitality by the landlady, rooms were large with comfy beds and nice shower facilities, and her breakfast was an orgy in homemade jam and bread, fresh fruit, boildes eggs, a variety of cheese, salamis, yoghurt, cereals - you couldn't have asked for more. Our bicycles (we were racing De Ronde/Tour of Flandres) were stored inside a locked garage and parking was availabale right outside the main intrance. Nearest city is Ath (highly reccomendable) some 5 km away where you wil find a vivid range of cafés, restaurants and bars to everyones tsate. Otherwise, you can drive to Oudenarde (Flanders) or Mons (Wallonia), both cities are located some 30 km away from Rebaix. If I ever need a stop over in Wallonia I wouldn't hesitate to return to La Poterie. Highy recommendable.

The whole team has a very warm and friendly approach, very professional and timing is kept at the minute. It is obvious the whole staff likes too work there and customer satisfaction is the most important. Nothing is too much and the breakfast is adapted on your wish. Accomodation is new and has a large livingroom with a nice TV and kitchen, all accomodations are on the ground floor. 1 bedroom with 2 seperate beds were on the groundfloor and the 2 person bed was on the upperfloor also with a TV. Matrasses very comfy, soft towels, bathrobes, watercooker, toaster, microwave, cookingplate all is there if you would like to cook yourself. Kitchen has towels cleaning products. The stairs are sharp turning up but not a problem for normal people. Parking is free and in front of the accomodation. The restaurant is right next door and has great food, especially the pave and mixed brochette are very tastefull as the meat has a barbeque flavour. We ate there the first evening and after that we returned every evening as the place is very nice and good quality food and price. The restaurant is next door but you have no noise or disturbance from it as the private walled parking for the accommodation separates it fully with a private entrance to the garden and restaurant.
