Proximity to Ypres was great, only a short drive away. The house was in a very peaceful location, no other properties nearby, set amongst arable farmland. The cleanliness of property was superb, and the absence of light pollution provides guests with the ability to get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. Marian was lovely, a good host and friendly. She was very attentive without being intrusive. The wood burner made for cosy evenings, and logs are provided for you free of charge. There is a Match supermarket about 3-4 km away, or a Lidl outside Ypres, about a 5km drive. It is also less than an hour’s drive to Bruges, which is well worth a visit.
Messines (Near Bas-Warneton)

There was not something I did not like. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we had everything we could imagine. The breakfast was super extensive, and the home made 4 course menu was of such high quality that we were surprised.
