A pleasure to return to Boat of Garten. The food, as always, was great and the staff as friendly as ever.
A clean and comfortable room with fresh towels adds to the impression that an excellent standard of care is being provided for guests. Only a short walk is necessary to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Loch Lomond and the opportunity to take a boat trip on Loch Lomond should not be missed because it will create many special memories.
Exceedingly accommodating staff. We arrived off the boat at 0700, checkin wasn't until 1200 however we were allowed up to our room as soon as we arrived at 0900 which was helpful as the journey was a bit choppy! Room was brilliant, clean and had all of the amenities we need. We also had lots of helpful information about the island from the staff :)
Breakfasts really good. Not large servings but enough and nicely prepared. Liked having breakfast by the large windows looking out over the bay and watching all the boat activity.
Breakfast very good, possibly change item every 2-3 days. Location stunning as our room overlooked the pier with boats moored up. Dog friendly. Receptionist gave our dog treats every evening. Large lounge with plenty seating.plus television on but very low volume and subtitles.
Greeting staff were very helpful, location is fantastic in Fort Augustus Lochness, right beside the locks, pubs and loch cruises. Spar petrol station 2 minute walk away sells pretty much everything at fair prices. Great location to watch the boats navigate the canal or explore wider if you wish
the location was awful. No view from the window except that of an old building. When booking a property on a harbour you at least expect to see the harbour and boats and maybe even the sea beyond. You could only see a tiny bit of sky. The room was very claustrophobic.
the location is simply stunning, theres not a lot in the immediate area, good walk to a local bar or restaurant but we knew that,we got some food in and just sat on the boat,to see the Kelpies at night changing colour with virtually no one else about was quite magical and worth every penny.the boat is quirky, comfortable, warm, loved the wood burner.it really did tick one off the list. thank you for a true life experience.
A gorgeous and comfortable suite of rooms overlooking the Firth of Forth with beautiful views . I loved sitting by the window watching the waves and listening to the birds. The sunrise was beautiful. The welcome warm and friendly. Great location close to shops eateries boat trips and the Fife Coastal path.
