Airton
Cosy, secluded narrow boat is set in Airton, 44 km from King George's Hall, 49 km from Royal Hall Theatre, and 49 km from Harrogate International Centre. Victoria Theatre is 50 km away and Ripley Castle is 50 km from the boat. Great host, Great location ɓoat was lovely and fully kitted out.
The location is exceptional. North bay is simply wonderful, it is one of my top 2 Beaches in our beautiful country. The difference between your beach and the beach where the arcades and boat trips are is huge! We watched the sunrise (on the one morning the clouds allowed) The beds are incredibly comfortable The power of the shower is excellent
We loved the location over looking the canal with a direct access onto the canal towpath, Drinks in the garden with boats and people passing.
The veiw was out standing and plenty of locations to visit, veiw of the oceon, boats and people swimming. Plenty of locations to visit like shops, arcades, the Scarbourgh Castle, boat trips etc.
The cottage is well maintained, light, comfortable, and for the most part well equipped. Even in a grey July week, you can sit inside the picture window looking over the valley and watching the canal boats. It's easy to find, is a wonderful base for visiting friends in different parts of Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria, and is next to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath - a level and pleasant walk of whatever length you want.
Lovely well equipped holiday home in a nice area of the park Near the complex & resteraunts Very large site with boating lake ,funfare outdoor activities.
Quiet, spotless, comfy bed, had everything we needed, excellent parking right outside for 2 cars.. 35 minute walk to Filey on the lovely beach. Onsite pub. Everything was perfect apart from the weather didn't always do it's best but rain was mostly at night 😎 going to Bridlington and Scarborough was nice. Scarborough boating lake was fun and bridlington beach was nice.
Breakfast - good Evening meal - good Distance to town centre was good via a lovely walk along the canal bank. Also we had a lovely view from our room which took in the canal and boats, and the hillside.
Right in the heart of the old town. The double bedroom has the same great harbour view as the lounge, so that you can sit in the super-comfy bed and watch the fishing boats come in.
Very friendly and welcoming staff especially Julie? the manager. Location was perfect for us as we were in Gargrave to meet up with friends on a canal boat holiday and the Old Swan is a five minute walk to the canal. The food was excellent with a very good, varied menu. We were genuinely spoilt for choice! The hotel has recently been refurbished so the whole hotel felt fresh and clean. Very happy that the bedroom had a magnifying mirror as I had inadvertently left mine at home!
