Florent spent a lot of time explaining everything about the boat and gave me recommendations for where the locals go to eat. Certainly the restaurant I chose was absolutely fantastic (Tonton Louis at the fishing port, a couple of miles along the coast)! The boat has a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, although the shower is typically tiny, so I chose to use the marina facilities located just at the end of the ponton, which are reserved for "badge holders", i.e. not open to the tourists. I cycled everywhere - and if the weather had not been as lovely as it was, there is also a floating shuttle ("bus de mer") from the marina to the vieux port and back. The only - very minor - drawback to the boat was that it was not overly warm, but then it was February and boats are generally not going to be as well insulated as houses! The two heaters provided were just about sufficient to keep the boat cosy. A very unusual but delightfully memorable stay.

The location of this boat is in one of the quieter ports and this made our stay perfect , the owner hospitality was fantastic nothing was to much trouble , even the captains quarters where the showers and toilets are was very clean , we stayed for 1night but could have easily spent a week , La Rochelle is a beautiful city and staying here made it even more magical

You are right near to all restaurants, attractions etc. Free parking was a bonus and very safe. The boat itself is well equipped and has air conditioning for the very hot weather, is easy to move around and a pleasure to stay on. Katia was very welcoming and a pleasure to meet.

What a fantastic yacht, made it a totally unique experience for us. We where going to eat out but the yacht was so well equipped and a supermarket (Carrefour City) just around the corner, we enjoyed eating on deck, soaking up the wonderful atmosphere. Very friendly host who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Even though the yacht did not have a shower etc the private harbour shower was perfect, modern, very clean & tidy. Highly recommended if you want something a little different to the normal.
