The whole place is so lovely. It‘s quiet with a stunning view over the lake. Especially watching the sunset either from the boat‘s platform or just from the sofa is so amazing and pure holiday feeling.
Communication with the staff is very good, quick and very, very nice. I messaged an issue with a fuse and mentioned that it didn‘t bother me but I got a call right next morning to check on it.

Peace and quite, the noisiest thing about it was the odd duck floating past and quacking central heating in the boat was mega efficient, all in all if you want peace and quite out of the hustle and bustle C'est la vie is perfect. The bed is very comfortable
Initially, I thought the boat maybe quite cold as it was on the water in April, but the central heating was more than up to the task. After 10 minutes, we were having to turn it down it was so hot.all in all extremely comfortable
Would I go there again? Yes
Get out on the water (without ever leaving the dock!) on a commercial boat. Guests have access to a partial or entire boat, yacht or houseboat, which will remain docked throughout the stay. Meals and additional services may be available -- a nautical getaway awaits.
This was our 2nd year staying at this property. It is an absolutely fantastic property and the most wonderful location, right on the Oudegracht canal in Utrecht. Being able to watch people swimming in the canals, the boats and canoes going past, watching the bird life, feeding the ducks - it is like living in a fairytale!! I cannot speak highly enough about this stunning property and its location. And our host Aart, is a really lovely man who is so helpful and kind. Thank you very much again Aart for your hospitality!
Fantastic location. Really enjoyed watching all the boats in the evening - river trips, rowers etc. Close to city centre but quiet in the evenings. Loved the facilities in the studio - easy to eat there in the evenings if you don’t fancy going out again. Great host - a few nice welcoming things there on arrival - wine, fruit, milk in the fridge etc. Really enjoyed my stay.
Both historic and modern . Fantastic location at the canal side. Close to facilities, but quiet at night. You could just sit outside and wave to people in boats if you wanted to. Host met us and was very welcoming and helpful and gave us restaurant recommendations. Apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped .
The location is amazing, we can do everything in the city centre walking out getting the boat for a tour. Rooms spacious, common area, lockers and a place to leave your luggage for free.
The location absolutely perfect. Very easy to reach all the restaurants, shops and attractions. Loved being next to the canal and watch the boats going pass.
A beautiful apartment on the old canal with a lot of character and charm. The host was friendly and the location was unbeatable. Sitting on the canal watching the boats and ducks sail by was a favorite memory on this trip. Highly recommend this place.
Location was fantastic right in the middle of shops and DOMunder. Amazing being on the canal. Took so many photos. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Allowed us in a little earlier. Helped us with our bags down the stairs to the canal. Great to sit and have a drink and watch the boats go by.

And a highlight is also the backyard, in where you can sit.
The house is in a very lovely neighborhood, where you can stroll and watch the house boats at the canal or also go into some bars or restaurants (jasmijn &ik!)
But the real highlight is Jos and his hospitality!
We also booked the breakfast (which we recommended very much) and also used the garage.
You can also use bikes, but we walked instead to Centre ( ~ 20 mins)
