Such a warm and friendly welcome, Vivian was very helpful explaining about the boat for a comfortable stay. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable. Merci!

An interesting experience to make: sleeping in boat. We had the chance to have a small storm in the night which made it exciting.

My dog and I loved the daily morning walks in the park and afternoon/evening walks along the Corderie Royale and past the sailboats moored in the basins next to the Charente. We were in the ville for the Christmas season with all its festivities and joie de vivre. What a fabulous place.

The hotel Mercure in Rocheforrt is very well located, a few minutes walk from the quays and about 10 minutes walk to the main square. The swimming pool is lovely, in a quiet location on the hotel grounds. Breakfast was fine, a good selection of different types of food. The staff were very helpful, speaking fluent English when necessary. They recommended the boat trip to the Isle d'Aix, which was very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay!
