    This barge is a unique and lovely place to stay! We loved looking outside the boat to see the river flowing by. A nice break from the noise of the city. The barge is beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, much more spacious than we explected. The private bathrooms in each of the three bedrooms were a real plus. The kitchen is well equipped too, so we bought food at Les Halles to eat onboard in the evening. Can't recommend enough!

    The boat was a great surprise. Clean, cozy and very quiet. a wonderful view of the city from the port hole. Good air-condition, good bed and shower. The dry toilets are no problem, and we had a very good night in a good price in the most touristic place...

    Wonderful hide-out on the water in calm natural environment , yet very close to Avignon city center (bridge and palace are just a few minutes away) The boat is absolutely with 3 bedrooms+bathrooms and a living/dining area. Beautiful terrace for breakfast or apero. Great welcoming host, offering sightseeing tips !

    We had a fantastic experience on the house boat. The boat has been finished to a really high spec. All the gear you need to cook with, brilliant terrace to enjoy the sunshine, and it’s easy enough to access Avignon from.

    Our stay at Peniche Althea was one of the highlights of our trip! Séverine was welcoming and knowledgeable and the houseboat was beautiful and quiet. Would return to Avignon just to stay there again.
