Across from a nice park, next to a very good restaurant (Peggy’s), with direct access to the Cibolo Creek walking trail. We also enjoyed walking up Main Street with the antique shops.

At the bed and breakfast, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Great place. Would choose again next time. A good choise for a visit Austin, San Antonio and the Hill Country. Wish we had booked more nights for our stay in the area. Nice to have wooden floor, instead of the usual carpet.

At the guest house, certain units are equipped with a coffee machine and chocolates or cookies. This is a super cute place. Staff are wonderful. Pool is great. Our room was upstairs and had everything we needed. We were only booked for 1 night but decided to stay 3 & just do a day trip to San Antonio instead. We were so pleased we decided that as we loved our time in Gruene & at the cottages. We walked down to the centre which is an easy 10 min walk. Once you cross the road there's a short path then a walkway the rest of the way.

Views of the city and garden can be enjoyed from some rooms. I loved the location of this place. We had our own entrance so it was perfect when we would come in late from the river walk.
