Mario & Anne together with Oude, Asma, Kone & staff have created an incredible maison d’hotes. Charmante, peaceful and welcoming. The photos and experience do not do this place justice. I rarely say a place is a hidden gem, but in this case it’s true. Anne & Mario are also the brains & heart behind the global brand Amarante parfums. Villa Edo is lovingly and tastefully designed. My room and the maison d’hote was out of an Elle decor magazine. Breakfasts were sumptuous. Conversations with local guests heart warming and opening. Normally at a bnb/hotel one makes small talk (I hate small talk), but here people shared their profound experiences. Come here if you’re a well travelled person, curious about the world and people. You will leave with many unexpected gifts including more beauty, joy, and peace.

Everything was excellent: the location, rooms, food, service, everything. The hospitality and service was superior, we really felt most welcome here. We came in the middle of the night from the airport and we were still warmly welcomed and looked after. During the whole stay the family and staff was genuinely nice and helpful and they really put effort on their guests without being pushy or fake. I would absolutely recommend to stay here, it’s a lovely and peaceful place.

They made my stay in Tunisia so special/amazing - I truly felt as if I was staying with family, I was very well taken care of. The house/garden is beautiful. While you are not in a city/town (more of suburb) it's the perfect launching point for the city center, La Marsa, Sidi Bou Said, etc. and taxi's are quite easy to get (via Bolt) and cheap. It was wonderful to come back after a long day exploring to the peace and quiet of the property. I would highly recommend you try Lotfie's cooking! I ate here every night for dinner and never went to bed hungry :) He makes delicious, authentic Tunisian dishes with a lot of love and care. If I ever come back to Tunisia, I'll be staying here again for sure. Thank you both!!

The hosts are excellent, they displayed such kindness and went over and beyond to accommodate us. The setting is quaint and you literally walk around the corner to the beach. The locals take pride in the beach and can be seen cleaning it themselves and pointing out to others when they have left something behind. As such the beach is clean and we found a real warm community feel to this small section of beach. Make sure you take your own provisions of food and drink as you don't get many local vendors on this section. You are walking distance from the shopping centre where you can find bakeries, phone shops, cinema, monoprix. The monoprix stocks all the essentials including pork products if you require in a separate fridge. The pharmacy can also be found in the centre and is excellent.
