One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Very nice and comfortable B&B with a great overall concept. The room was very nice. Very good bathroom. The common area with kitchen for breakfast felt very inviting and comfortable. The decor is stunning, the balcony is out of this world with amazing views of Mount Pico when the weather cooperates. The breakfast is so delicious and plentiful. However, the very best part about this place are the owners. Andreas and Barbara are so welcoming and kind and really go above and beyond. Made my stay in Faial even that much better. Would 1000% recommend and come again!

The accommodation features room service and an ATM for guests. I like the property a lot. It’s a gorgeous place, I highly recommend everyone to stay here. It’s a beautiful farm where you will live with the nature, wake up and go sleep with birds 🐦 have breakfast with a farm and domestic food 🤤 Ana and while staff is so kind and helpful. Thank you a lot with the opportunity to stay with dog, for helping with the car rent and helping and keeping in touch when our flight was rescheduled.
