But I was super glad that I chose to stay here. The owner Erika was very responsive whenever I had any questions. Besides, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. So did the bathroom. Additionally, there was even an AC in the room! Perfect for Iquitos weather. And there is a laundry service right at the entrance to the building, which makes life super easy after Amazon tour. Just that it closes on Sundays and I wished my stay wasn’t fall on Sunday 😅 Hence, whoever plan to stay here after Amazon tour and have a laundry service, arrange your days accordingly. :)

However, we managed with google translator. He connected us with good tour agency for a full day jungle tour. Good value for money.

My favorite hotel in Iquitos - I stayed here repeatedly and I've always enjoyed my stay very much. My room was really big and comfy, and it even had a private fridge, which definitely comes handy. I really liked the common areas as well. The owners and the staff are super nice and friendly, they even let me store my luggage when I was going to the jungle for few days. The area is nice, close to the main plaza, there are restaurants and supermarkets around. As a solo female traveler, I felt perfectly safe in the area.

Wonderful little guesthouse, easy to find. I felt very comfortable there. It's a bit outside the city, but it's very easy to take a cheap mototaxi or a bus to the centre. The wifi worked perfectly and everything was clean. There are shops around (even a supermarket), and also several restaurants (with chifa and chicken). The owner is super friendly and kind. I can recommend Otorongo for 100%!
