La Laguna
At the bed and breakfast, each unit is equipped with a wardrobe. At the bed and breakfast, all units come with bed linen and towels. This place was so cozy and cute and relaxing and tropical and special, I absolutely loved it!

Certain units in the guest house have private entrance and are equipped with desk and dressing room. The units are equipped with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, while certain rooms here will provide you with a fully equipped kitchen with an oven. At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. By far the best stay in whole Central America! Very clean, nice big pool, how water though out the whole day. The breakfast was amazing with fresh baked French bread every single day! But the best thing about this place are the hosts. We felt right at home, very friendly and helpful. We really can’t explain how lovely they were. (The location is very close to the laguna but taking a taxi is cheap and easy so it’s worth it).
It’s in a nice quiet area of the lake with great private access. They had blow up rings, kayaks available and a pontoon located in front on the lake. Lovely staff and great food. The outdoor shower is nice touch.
The hotel offers great spots to relax right on Laguna de Apollo and is very quiet on weekdays
Cheapest option around and still very comfortable! I slept in the dorm which was clean, quiet, confortable. Nice kitchen where you can cook your own meal. You go down a few stairs and get to enjoy the beautiful lake. Very nice view from the reception. Very quiet by night, I enjoyed my stay. Very nice staff too
Great location in quiet small resort surrounded by jungle. Beautiful crater lake, (a little difficult to get in for swimming because of stony beach). Comfortable loungers and hammocks. Well constructed cabañas with very necessary mosquito nets. We loved the outdoor Bali style showers and having coffee delivered to the room at 7am. Excellent breakfasts and dinners.
Lakeside so nice for a swim. Easy with the restaurant there too. Private room was comfortable and good size

beautiful, quiet idyllic escape..staff were lovely. as was Daniel the owner. accommodations are very basic but very clean and I didn't see any bugs or even a single mosquito in my room. food was good. outdoor shower was a nice touch . Lake was a great swim.
A beautiful spot on the lake, it was really quiet and peaceful. The hotel is set slightly up the side and the whole way down to the water were different spaces with hammocks, tables and chairs and loungers. At the lake there were rings and kayaks to use. The room was really comfortable with a lovely bed, mosquito net and good AC. The food in the restaurant was excellent a the staff at check in and during our stay were friendly and helpful. There were water filters to refill bottles.
Felt more like a resort vibe than a hostel, really peaceful place to stay if you go during the week. Spacious, clean, quiet dorms & pancake breakfast included was delicious. Staff are very helpful & volunteers at the time organised a fun pool competition & morning workouts. There’s a good value Comedor just across the road if you want a cheaper meal/ different option than the restaurant onsite (good food but costly at circa $8 per meal).
