Fes El Bali, Fès
At the guest house every room comes with a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy complimentary tea and Moroccan pastries all day, as well as afternoon tea.
A continental breakfast is available daily at Riad Sidrat Fes. Guests can also benefit free airport shuttle (one way only) if they book minimum 3 nights stay.
Riad Sidrat Fes is a family business, Meryem, who I would say is the face and the voice of the Riad looks after everything and She is exceptionally helpful to make your time in Fes as smooth and amazing as possible. The Riad has the perfect location to discover the Medina and beyond. Even though it is located within the Medina, you cannot hear the sound of the street, unless you decide to enjoy either the sun or the stars from the fascinating rooftop terrace, accessible for all guests. The breakfast is rich and consist of local and continental elements. The bed and mattress were great, the room was clean and tidy. During the colder night, you can only use the A/C for heating, but it is convenient and enough. I would advise to rely on the Riad’s services (transport, guide etc.), especially if you only have a couple of nights in Fes as we did.

Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer, the units at the guest house have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms will provide you with a seating area. The units are equipped with heating facilities. After a taxi ride from the train station to the gate nearest to the riad in the medina, we were able to walk with our carryon luggage to the riad. Just ignore the troll that follows you and use your google map. Having stayed at one riad before in Rabat we knew a little about what to expect from the traditional family house. However, this riad in the Fes medina was recently reconfigured and integrated 3 properties into one, so instead of 6 rooms, there were 15, each with its own advantage. Ours overlooked the lovely swimming pool at the center of the riad. Other rooms on the higher floors had more city views. Note, Moroccans seem to like harder beds than we do. The roof terrace is fabulous and you can have tea, coffee or snacks brought to you up there to watch the sunset over the hills around Fes, or catch some cool evening breezes. It's a nice way to end the day. The reception at the riad was traditional and we were ushered into the main beautiful salon and treated to mint tea and cookies in the coolness of the riad, after our travel from Rabat. This is when we met Ahmed--English speaking, competent, manager, now friend--the person who helped make the stay at this riad, a unique experience. He arranged for our day trip to Volubilis (fantastic), and for our guided tour of the Fes medina with the most experienced English speaking guide (also fantastic); was around to discuss what we had seen, or really anything at all. The Fes medina can be a scary place but Ahmed made sure that if we went out he or one of his staff accompanied us to our destination--especially in the evening; either someone from the restaurant walked us back or he would fetch us. There is a lot of desperation and tourists are an easy mark. Ahmed manages to look after everyone in his riad and make it a safe haven. Breakfast was fine and they honored requests readily. Had dinner once in 4 days at our own riad and went out the other times.

The bed was comfortable and the Ac worked very well.
The staff was superb, they picked us up at the main square and walked us through the medina showing the interesting parts of town, they offered us welcoming moroccan tea at the riad, and helped us with everything we needed. Thay speak very good english, very good french and the host spoke a surprising italian that seemed coming from a native.
The breakfast was excellent, omelette, tea, coffee, yogurt, mhsemen, different moroccan breads and jams, and an excellent cucumber mint juice. Definitely recommended.

Nice riad in an old building in the heart of Fes' medina, close to an area accessible by car (very convenient, 2 minutes by foot). Excellent, abundant breakfast served in a rooftop terrace overlooking the entire city center -- really spectacular. Quiet, clean if rather small room, with excellent beds. Very pleasant large common room on the ground floor (the inner courtyard of the riad). The per-night rate is very reasonable.
It was a great location within the medina and we were met on arrival at a main entrance to help us find the place. All staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. The location was perfect and surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was the best we'd had during our stay in Morocco.
Great location but still quiet. Beautifully decorated. Incredibly comfortable bed! WiFi was very strong throughout. The staff made this place! We arrived very early and were given tea and biscuits while we waited for our rooms, and set up on the WiFi. Fatimah and Zakariya arranged our Fes medina tour and a private taxi to Chefchaouen. We had early mornings but were given breakfast to go so we didn’t miss out!
Great host. Lovely room. Generous breakfast. Good value for money + Excellent breakfast. Great location near to medina. Mohammed and hisham was a lovely friendly host who spoke very good English.
Very attractively decorated lobby and dining area. Also a beautiful roof terrace and excellent breakfast, wherever you want to sit. Quiet location in the busy city center of Fes. The friendly manager Karim and his staff were very helpful. Best hotel this first week of our Morocco trip!
A beautiful and authentic house, quiet and private, the terrace was charming-we used to hang out there and read and watch the Médina from above. Abdul and his family took great care of us!
