This accommodation was gorgeous and spacious. Our room had a lovely view. The futons were very comfortable and even though it was really cold outside, we were warm in our room. There was curry provided for dinner and it was lovely. We were lucky as the restaurants closed early there.

Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Shinsho-ji Temple is 18 km away and Miroku no Sato is 19 km from the guest house. We chose to stay here in advance of doing the Shimanami Kaido cycle from Onomichi, in order to get to Mukaishima, you will need to exit Onomichi station, cross over the footbridge and go onto the ferry which costs 100 yen per person. I would recommend calling ahead while you are waiting for the ferry to allow time for pickup. Yuji, Junko and Akana were extremely welcoming hosts providing door to door service and a lovely home cooked breakfast with actual proper bread!! for only 500 yen per person. For 2 people you have your own bedroom and living room. Well worth staying here especially if you want a more personal experience.

The property is situated 31 km from Senkoji Temple, 31 km from MOU Onomichi City University Art Museum and 32 km from Jodoji Temple. The property also offers private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The host was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast was included and both were traditional Japanese and delicious. Our host was so kind and drove us to the bike oasis where we hired our bikes. We absolutely loved the islands in the seto sea and it was wonderful to be staying on one of them and made to feel so welcome. The whole experience was a major highlight of our stay!

There's plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel, if you come by car. Facilities are great. We stayed in shared dorm using shared bathroom which is no issue for us at all. Bunk bed is quite comfy and quiet at night. Bathroom is squeaky clean, very very clean! We love everything here and will definitely plan a trip to stay here again!
