We stayed at the Clonmacnoise B&B for 5 nights. Joe and Jackie are exceedingly gracious hosts who folded us into their family. Breakfast was unbelievable! "A full Irish breakfast" is a meal fit for a King! We had to leave at 4am to get to the Dublin Airport. Joe insisted on getting up to make us coffee and to cook breakfast so that we wouldn't have to stop along the way- so, so kind. Our stay was a delight from start to finish!

Quietly situated, the family-run Shelmalier House is just 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Athlone. It features a sauna, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. The Athlone Institute of Technology is 1 km away. This place was wonderful. The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀

Situated 10 minutes’ drive from Athlone town centre, Moynure House B&B features free on-site parking, a garden and a spacious lounge where guests can relax and enjoy the well-stocked library. A number of golf courses can also be reached within a 10-minute drive. Absolutely stunning property. The house was amazing and so cozy and relaxing. The owners were lovely and offered to drive us into town (as we didn’t have a car) and even picked up food for us when we ordered take out. They were lovely and so was the house! Would highly suggest staying here.

Some rooms also boast disabled-friendly facilities. The host was very nice. She let us check in early. Her breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious, clean and very nice.

At the bed and breakfast, all units have bed linen and towels. Lovely place with very nice host , good location, great room & beds. The location is close to Roscommon and not close to a large road so it is quiet - love our stay
