The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral. Staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make us feel at home, and the design and cleanliness of the room was outstanding. We also loved the big window overlooking the market square.

The restaurant staff is always extremely nice and polite, and they are always concerned about our well-being. Everything we wanted that wasn't on the menu was made to order. The chef and kitchen crew provided excellent service and delicious cuisine. We know the cuisine is prepared with affection.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and offered refreshments. The owner rang the hotel for us where we were going for a meal and drove us into the town. The house had all the amenities you could need, like a home from home. The owner was available whenever she was needed. The house was spotless and very comfortable.

Full Irish breakfasts are served each morning, made with eggs from the farm, and a wide range of options are also available, including a fresh fruit basket, smoked Irish salmon and scrambled eggs, and homemade scones and soda bread I had a week long trip staying in different hotels etc and my stay at Mary's bnb was by far the best. Every single thing was exceptional. A very warm welcome by Mary herself and treated to delicious fresh home baked scones with jam , cream and a pot of tea on arrival. My room was beautiful , exceptionally clean and every comfort I could possibly need. The breakfast was top notch and the location was idyllic, just a couple of minutes from the M9 but set in the most tranquil of locations looking out at all the lush green fields. I hope to be able to stay there again and have already been recommending it to others.
