Around 20 minutes’ drive from Dublin, Claremont House provides accommodation in Glenageary, 3 minutes’ walk from the train station. Each room has either en suite or private bathroom facilities. Room booked for my dad visiting from the UK. He said that the breakfast was excellent and owners very friendly and he slept soundly in the cost bed. Will definitely be back :-)

Set in Rathgar, 1.9 km from Rathfarnham Castle, No 9 Rathgar offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free private parking. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. I’ve stayed 2 times at this accommodation. I like it. This stay, my room was not as clean as before… very dusty and mold on shower mat. I mentioned these to the staff I happened to see and they immediately cleaned it. Actually, the staff person was extremely accommodating!!However, they forgot to dust.😂 It’s a short but straight shot to city center by bus and 30 min to the town center. The bed is comfy and the shower is hot with lots of pressure. The fridge in the room is handy too! There is a supermarket and pubs close as well!
