Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and served to one's liking, I really enjoyed it and there was no rush on it, very relaxed atmosphere. The bedroom and bed were very cosy, lots of original features everywhere in the house, and I got to play my instrument downstairs in one of the reception rooms. It was a lovely stay and I'd love to go back one day.

Extremely tidy room/bathroom/ linens. I am a host myself and trust me when I say that the ratio quality/ price is excellent! I recommend this place to anyone and will definitely come back.

Even though we only stayed one night I loved our stay at the oak house. Everything about the property, from our lovely hostess Trish, the cozy beds, and homemade bread at breakfast made us feel at home. I loved the property and amenities offered. Our room was well stocked with lots of delicious snacks. I will 100% stay again and longer next time instead of just a pass through.

Roundwood House is a country house, surrounded by unspoilt countryside. All bedrooms have their own private en suite bathrooms, and all enjoy a view of the beautiful gardens.
The best food we had during our 10 day trip in Ireland. Really enjoyed the stay in this country manor - fantastic service and made to feel like a special guest. The animals (dogs, cat, chickens geese and ducks) provided a lot of entertainment as did the sights and sounds of the amazing gardens. The feel of the house was so unique- historic but relaxing. The proprietors were super friendly. Make sure to opt in for dinner, it’s well worth it.
Stradbally
Set in the Valley of Stradbally, Fitz of Inch is located in the heart of Ireland's Ancient East. The property has luscious gardens on the estate, BBQ facilities as well as a beautiful patio that overlooks the Stradbally River. quiet place close to Portlaoise; fast access thru M6, so can reach Dublin in less than 1 hour. warm bedroom, private bathroom, great internet access, plenty space for private parking.
The room was superb. Really big and airy. Very quiet. Dinner was exceptional! Breakfast was clearly cooked by people who care about quality. In fact, “Quality”, shone through in all aspects. Highly recommend this hotel. Did I mention the underground private car park?
Our room was fantastic and Jamie went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. He was very friendly and helpful, offering us many thoughtful recommendations. Checking in and out was extremely easy with flexible timings from the host. The BnB itself was quiet and private with ample parking. A good range of breakfast was available at our leisure and there were lots of accessible amenities. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
Excellent location, very close to the Heritage Hotel. Julie-Ann and Ivan were so welcoming and even drove us to the wedding we were attending. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast we had cereal, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and an americano. The hosts left out crisps and chocolate as a late night snack. Would highly recommend!

Everything was perfect, accurate photos and description, very clean and welcoming, good instructions for self check-in,easy access, private and very quiet. Nice area to seat outside, we didn't have the weather for it but it must be lovely on a sunny day. Would definitely recommend and come back ourselves.

Lovely quiet private pet friendly location. Spotlessly clean and only a short drive to town nearby for food. Lots of space for my dog to explore and run free safely.
Lovely quiet private accommodation just outside Portarlington. Photos don't do it justice. The cottage has everything you'd need - all mod cons (even had Netflix!) while retaining its quaint country charm and character (even the lighting is so soft/cosy!). Very comfy bed, full kitchen and a really nice outside space. We loved sitting out the back with a glass of wine at night and a cuppa tea in the morning just listening to the birds!
