The chilling area on the first floor is so nice! It has a real cozy atmosphere. The double rooms are wonderful, it feels like glamping. We had to fight for the upper room going up with the ladder ;-) There are two bathrooms, this is enough for the number of rooms. They were clean and the view is great when you are taking your ‘outside’ shower! The owner is vey friendly and organised our trip for mount Ijen and the transfer to the harbour. No hassle… Breakfast was simple but good quality. Staying in a real bamboo house was very special to us. We would definitely have loved to stay more nights if it would have been available!

The owner is very nice and helpful, he cooked for us an amazing breakfast. Was so yummy that we order another breakfast 🤓 Everything is clean and smell good. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!
